At NOESIS, just a few weeks before the holidays, on Sunday, November 27, 2022, the magic of Christmas will try to take something from the magic of science through experiments with everyday materials that will impress young and old.<\/p>\n

So, if, among other things, you are wondering:
\n\u2022 Why a huge ship floats while a stone sinks
\n\u2022 Why astronauts get taller when they are in space
\n\u2022 How can we boil water on a page of photocopy paper
\n\u2022 How a spaghetti colander can block unwanted incoming calls on your mobile
\n\u2022 How a common pencil can act as a light bulb
\n\u2022 How can we show that the Earth is indeed spinning around itself<\/p>\n

then come and experiment, discuss and connect the magical world of science with that of our daily life, on the occasion of the presentation of the book “Guide to Teaching Natural Sciences with Experiments”<\/a> by Panagiotis Koumaras and Thodoris Pierratos.<\/p>\n

The book will be presented by Kostas Keramidas (Physicist, secondary education teacher), Anastasia Gkigoudi (Chemist, Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs of Toumba) and Natalia Dionysiou (primary education teacher).<\/p>\n

Experiments will be carried out by a group of students of the Department of Primary Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.<\/p>\n

The event, which will be hosted at the Amphitheater of NOESIS, will start at 11:30 in the morning and admission to it is free.<\/p>\n
