What is technology? What would our lives be like without it? How is it created?<\/p>\n
Interactive tours, multimedia applications, digital media, and over 200 historical exhibits from the rich collection of the Science Center and Technology Museum will transport the public into the wonderful world of technology, starting November 18, 2025.<\/p>\n
Telephones, televisions, computers, radios, refrigerators, elevators, coffee makers, cameras, and cars are just a few of the many technological objects that are part of everyday life.<\/p>\n
In a 1,000 m\u00b2 space, visitors can see up close the tools and inventions that have shaped the modern world, driving progress and development, but also bringing new challenges.<\/p>\n
The information is presented in an experiential and interactive way, while the tour varies depending on the age group of the audience. Projections and archival material, soundscapes, and functional authentic devices keep visitors engaged, making a tour of the exhibition a unique experience.<\/p>\n
Organized school groups will take a fantastic journey into the past and learn about some of the most important milestones in the history of human civilization. They will realize how decisive the influence of technology is on humans today, they will reflect on what rapid technological developments will bring tomorrow, and they will seek an answer to the question: What does it mean to be human in a world of machines?<\/p>\n
Visitors to the new exhibition will see, for example, how much the invention of the humble knife affected the life of prehistoric man. Were celestial bodies and their properties demystified with the construction and use of the telescope? Did books cease to be the privilege of the few and the rich with the invention of the printing press? What would our summers be like without… refrigerators? Did Alexander Graham Bell imagine the significance of his invention and its place in people’s everyday lives? …And finally, what does the world of tomorrow look like?<\/p>\n
