Discovering art – Recycling technology – NEW sections with NEW content

Children compose a unique artistic work, based on an art movement with elements of technology of past decades

For students from third to fifth grade

With this program we help children to appreciate visual artistry in different ways and on multiple levels. We encourage them to get to know various artistic currents (Realism, Surrealism, Cubism, Expressionism, Fauvism, etc.) and to correlate modern cutting-edge technology with the corresponding technology of the 80s and 90s.

Through the up-cycling process, children compose a unique artistic work, which contains elements of technology of these past decades, based on a different art movement each time. During the workshop, the classes and the electronic data resulting from the dismantling of cassette recorders, CD players, video players, etc. are the basic material (Found Object) for the creation of a work of art by each student.

Independent cycles are carried out that are completed in 2 or 3 workshops and include the theory about the respective artistic movement and its imprinting on paper for better understanding.

Dates: Sunday 13, 20, 27/11/2022
Time: 11.30-13.00
