Report – Artificial Intelligence: Possibilities and challenges

Presented from April 26 to November 30, 2024

The Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) invites you on Friday, April 26, at 14:00, to the opening of the temporary exhibition “Artificial Intelligence: Capabilities and Challenges” hosted at the NOESIS Science Center and Technology Museum.

Artificial Intelligence technology has flourished rapidly in recent years with its impressive achievements receiving great publicity among the general public. Expectations from emerging technology are high, however, these are often accompanied by exaggerated predictions and technophobia. In the NOESIS exhibition, you will have the opportunity to be initiated into the basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence, to learn exactly what Artificial Intelligence is, how it works, what we can achieve with it, and what problems it faces, as well as to get to know relevant research activities and results of CERTH-ITI.

Before the opening, 13:00-14:00, as part of the “AI-Talks: Opportunities and Challenges”*, organized by NOESIS, the first discussion will take place between the Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou, and the distinguished scientist, Mr. Yiannis Assael, raising questions about Artificial Intelligence and automatic content production. * For more information about the event click here.
