The Secretary General for Research and Innovation, Athanasios Kyriazis at NOESIS

The Secretary General for Research and Innovation, Athanasios Kyriazis, was informed about all the initiatives and actions of the President, Styliani Bezergianni, and the Board of Directors of NOESIS since January 1, 2023, when they assumed their duties, during his visit to the Science Center and Technology Museum in Thessaloniki.

Among them, is the connection with the educational, business and research-academic community, but also with society itself, through programs such as: A New Beginning at EPAL, the Student Conference on Computer Science, the 1st STEAM Activities Festival “NOESIS STEAMLAND 23”, the Eco Zoo theme park, the Researcher’s Night, The Science Festival, the collaboration with the School of Music Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Hoppy Festival, the Astroparty, as well as this year’s NOESIS presence at the 87th TIF.

In addition, Mr. Kyriazis was briefed on the management of European programs, such as TASTE (which is coming to an end), Science of Cooking (which is starting), as well as on the social responsibility actions of the organization, such as donations to foundations and the concession of facilities for the organization of non-profit organizations’ events.

During the discussion, the important challenges faced by NOESIS’ administration were raised, such as its administrative modernization, the technical upgrade of the building, as well as financial, technical and administrative issues, while a tour of the facilities and halls of the Center, which make it unique throughout the country, was also held.

On his part, the Secretary General for Research and Innovation expressed his full support to the Board of Directors and his belief that NOESIS, after 20 years of uninterrupted operation, has laid a solid foundation for further development, in order to become a unique science center and visitor attraction in Southeastern Europe, while proposing European programs and alternative funding tools. which the Agency could possibly join in order not only to continue its uninterrupted operation, but to further develop its work and scope.
